I apologize in advance for the shortcomings of the English language.
Although I normally don't mind open endings, after reading Elena Ferrante's Neapolitan Novels tetralogy (the series is known as My Brilliant Friend), I wasn't entirely happy with the ending at first. What happened to Tina? Were even her parents left alone and in limbo forever?
But the advantage of the open ending is that it gave us the space to explain the end of the story in our own way, to find our own explanations for the dolls at the end, for example.
And so I devised and wrote my own alternative epilogue in the form of a short story. A conclusion to the story that I personally would have liked at least a little bit. Whoever would be interested in it, I offer it for your perusal.
But I'm definitely aware that anyone can create their own and none need be better or worse.
